When running an online business there are several things needed. One of the things is web hosting. Cheaper is not always better so it is important to do research. There are several companies offering cheap web hosting but not all of them are reliable. One of the reliable web hosting providers is GoDaddy. This company has been around for a while and offers an economy plan.
GoDaddy’s economy hosting plan has been reviewed by several people and was found to be a good plan for the cost. The only problem is that this company doesn’t always have the most helpful customer service so if you are new to the internet this plan may not be the best. All plans at this company include 24×7 FTP access, world class data centers, daily backups which are great for keeping website information even if the server goes down. Also included are best of breed routers, firewalls and servers which help protect privacy. There are also web site statistics, free email addresses, Google webmaster tools, ad credits from MySpace, Facebook and Google, Fotolia photo credits, key technical features, 24/7 customer support, customer reviews, hosting manager, FAQs and server plans.
The economy plan offers ten GB of space, three hundred GB transfer, one hundred email accounts, ten MySQL databases. The MySQL databases are really helpful when using php. The three month plan is $4.99 per month. The twelve month or yearly plan is $4.74 per month. The twenty-four month plan is $4.49 per month and the thirty-six month plan is $4.24 per month. This is why the GoDaddy economy plan is one of the best and most reliable plans. Try it today.
GoDaddy is one of the largest web hosting and domain registration companies in the world. It was founded in 1997, and as of 2009, it had more than 36 million domain names that it managed – this is 3 times more than its closest competitor. I have used GoDaddy for several years for my web hosting and domain registrations, so I wanted to detail what I like and don’t like about GoDaddy.
I like their prices. OK, so they may not have the cheapest prices in town, but I have not found better prices with a company that looked as professional and safe as GoDaddy. I might could have saved a dollar or two, but to me it wasn’t worth the risk of dealing with a company that I did not know.
I like their quick response. If I want to setup a new domain on my hosting account, or add a new database, or create a sub-domain, it usually only takes 20-30 minutes for those changes to take affect. I don’t have to wait 12 hours, 24 hours, or even more that some companies require.
I love their customer service. Every time I call, I get a quick answer and very professional service. The technicians GoDaddy are knowledgeable and have understood exactly what I needed each time. I think that every company in the world should go through the same customer service training that GoDaddy employees go through – that is how much I like their customer service.
What I don’t like is there slow interface. Seems like is takes forever to get where I need to go with their user interface. Just about every click seems to take a good 10-15 seconds to respond. It is a good thing that I only have to make changes once, or I would lose patience in a hurry!
GoDaddy is the number one place online to get your domain and hosting account. Their excellent services and customer support will help you to get your business off the ground in very little time.
The have a 99.9% up-time guarantee, which means that when users want to visit your site they will be able to do so 99.9% of the time. They also provide you with 24/7 around the clock technical support should you have any problems or questions regarding your site.
Anyone can get their own domain name and hosting account. You do not need to be a business owner, nor do you require a business license to get started. It usually costs about $10.00 to get your domain and then it is yours for life, or for as long as you choose to renew it every year.
Hosting accounts vary, because everyone has a different need, but if you are just starting your business, you can get your domain and hosting for under $100.00 for one year. If you do not want to purchase a hosting account for a whole year, then you can make monthly payments for $5.00 per month, depending on which plan you decide to go with.
If you are planning on setting up multiple sites within one market, then you can even set them up under the same hosting plan, at no extra cost to you. (This is not available with the economy plan.)
If you do not want to get a hosting account, but would like a website, GoDaddy will host your site for free provided you purchase your domain from them. The only downfall of the free hosting is that they display their ad at the top of your webpages. This does not look very professional, but this way if you are learning it won’t cost you anything, and you can always upgrade to a paid hosting account at any time.
